Do I need updates?
Yes. At Eclipse Development, Inc. we are constantly enhancing for better functionality. Most of these enhancements come from our customers. If the program is lacking, or not functioning properly, in certain areas it is modified by an update. Updates are only available for the current shipping version. Check the updates page for which version will be updated by the updates that are available.

How do I get an update?
Updates are available in two different ways. You can call and request one at any time and the update will be sent out on diskettes (fees may apply). The second is much faster and easier. Fill out the update request form on our web site. The update from our web site is the very latest one available.

How do I install the updates?
Before installing an update make a backup first. This is very important. If the update is stopped or an error occurs while updating the program it usually requires restoring this back up. You must be sure to turn off any anti-virus program (if you have one) before attempting to install the update. If you are installing the update from diskettes all you need to do is follow the installation instructions If you are downloading the update from the web site read the instructions on the download page.

What is the difference between and update and upgrade?
Updates are modifications, enhancements, or bug fixes to the current version of your software. Upgrades are usually a version that has had many changes or has been rewritten.

Updates are free to those who have current shipping versions. Customers with older versions can purchase upgrades. Please contact us for details.
